after seeing rejection letter after rejection letter ive never felt stronger. seriously. ive sort of accepted (ironic word choice, ha) the fact that i wont have all the college options i hoped to. or that i might not end up at my dream school next year. but, so what?
yeah, ive worked my ass off at a competitive and demanding high school for the past four years and it hasnt gotten me very far college-wise. but the amount that ive taken from high school and the extent to which ive grown as an individual, i will take with me the rest of my life.
looking back at freshmen year, i was a shy, quiet, scared, insecure, unsure and overall confused girl. i stuck with the same crowd as middle school, and although i met a lot of new people i wasnt ready to leave my comfort zone. now. four years later. i have never felt so ready.
after devoting my high school career to student council, i have never found something i loved so much. ive discovered a passion for leadership, working with others, planning events, public speaking, talking to strangers and just getting out there. next year im taking these personal qualities and growth with me. what else could i ask for?
ive met some of the most amazing people ever. truly. i dont think i can ever express in words how much i will take from these people.
as much as lowell has gotten me down, made me feel like shit or almost pushed me to complete hatred of life- i could not thank high school enough in aiding me to understand my strengths, forcing me into a new social atmosphere and helping me love life more than ever. seriously.
as graduation lurks around the corner, and college is only months away, i vow to enjoy these last two and a half months as much as possible.
and as corny as it sounds, college is what you make it. and i believe it.

This was definitely a very motivational entry sonjia. I too am angry that Lowell ruined the chances of me going to my dream school but it actually prepared me so much and showed me what I was good at... and what I wasn't so hot at.
I still read your blog.
